Things to Do Around Arlington
Individually and together, we feel deeply connected to Vermont's landscape. It's Michael's home state and where Lauren's family has spent much of the last 25 winters. Of the many things that we are passionate about and hope to share with you during our wedding celebration, our love for the Green Mountain State is at the top of the list. We want nothing more than for you to explore, play in, and appreciate this area during your night, weekend or even vacation here.

- The Weston Playhouse: Vermont's oldest professional theater has a tradition of bringing productions such as Rent, Chicago, The Full Monty and Urinetown the Musical to Vermont.

Get Outside!
- The Arlington area is not for want of amazing and accessible hiking opportunities. We recommend the Lye Brook Wilderness or Stratton and Equinox Mountains if you desire more of a challenge. Grout Pond offers a more gentle hike and serene setting to set up a picnic lunch or snack. The West Mountain Inn sits on 150 aces, much of which contains a designated trail system you are welcome to explore.
- Always wanted to learn how to fly fish? Orvis can help!
- The Battenkill River runs at the base of the West Mountain Inn and through Arlington. From taking a swim to renting a canoe or kayak with Battenkill Riversports (located only 12 miles from the Inn), the river will undoubtedly be a welcomed respite in August!
- A short 45 minute drive will put you at the base of Mount Snow in West Dover. Home to the Oleet family's winter getaway, Mount Snow transforms into the "Mountain Bike Capital of the East" in the summer. Rent a bike, buy a lift ticket, and hit the single or double tracks that have made the mountain a true all-year escape.
- Hoping to hit the green? Luckily this area is home to some fantastic golf courses. Stratton Mountain and The Golf Club at Equinox are two great places to consider.
- Hoping to squeeze in a long overdue game of tennis? Arlington Recreation Park features two public courts.
Shopping
- The Northshire Bookstore: An Oleet Family favorite and the first independent bookstore in the country. The attached Spiral Press Cafe serves up killer sandwiches, salads and coffee.
- Manchester is well known for its outlet shopping. Forget your shoes or belt? You can easily pick up a last minute replacement in town.
Eating Your Way Through The Area
